Every month, I will post book reviews pertaining to the grades 4-5 and 6-7. I will post a book(s) each month for each group, in which I hope you will read. Enjoy and read on!
For 4th graders, you may enjoy the book 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass. 5th graders will probably enjoy the book Wonder by RJ Palicio.
11 Birthdays is about a girl who can't wait to get her eleventh birthday over because it reminds her too much of her fight with her best friend Leo. Leo and Amanda (the girl) have always shared their birthday. And this is the first time ever that she isn't celebrating it with him. So when it's finally over, she can't wait for tomorrow. But then tomorrow is her birthday too!
Wonder is about Auggie Pullman, a kid with a facial deformity. Ever since little, people have only seen his face. So he has only been home-schooled. But for the first time ever he's going to a public school. Watch how Auggie struggles to survive middle school and makes unexpected friendships.

6th graders will also enjoy Wonder by RJ. Palicio. 7th graders will enjoy A Mango-Shaped Space. It's an easy read and is about a girl who can sees too much of colors. She thinks she is the only one but there are others out there like her. This book is about the adventure of a girl who learns more about herself with every day. I hope you enjoy!
